Brush fire destroys two homes near Mountain Home
MOUNTAIN HOME, Idaho — Homeowners are cleaning up and surveying damage after a grass fire burned more than 250 acres west of Mountain Home Wednesday. The brush fire started about 3 p.m. and grew quickly as winds fanned the flames. The fire is out and investigators are now piecing together a possible cause. Phil Gridley, the chief of the Mountain Home Fire Department, says investigators believe … Cleaning Brushes Basics
How do we know dinosaur bones aren’t just remnants of picnics held by giant space aliens?
You know, like chicken bones, thrown away after having a good gnaw, and brought to earth in huge, checkered baskets also containing house-sized bottles of alien chardonnay on board of flying saucers.
I realize it isn’t exactly a conservative approach to challenging archaeology’s current view of earth’s developmental history, but then, hey, if it all holds water, surely there must be ways of proving me wrong.
Any takers?
I suppose one could argue the shear size and scope of the fossils, as well as the variety that would seem to indicate evolution (I’m pretty sure the cow, pig, or chicken hasn’t changed much in the time we’ve been eating them). There’s also the fact that there are fossils that have the remains of partially digested food that match fossilized plants from here on Earth, as well as finding the teeth of some carnivores stuck in the bones of other dinosaurs. There have even been a scant few findings of fossils with feather imprints (when was the last time you went on a picnic with an un-plucked bird?). And, let’s not forget that there have been countless nesting sites discovered, as well as fossilized dino dung.
Most of this implies the dinosaurs really were here on Earth. Which means the aliens weren’t having picnics. They were camping. Also, one could argue that they didn’t have to be big aliens – with advanced enough technology they could easily catch, kill and cut up the biggest of baddies; if anything the fact that there were such small dinosaurs (as small as 3-4 feet long) proves that they were regular-sized aliens, and not giant.

One of my friends gave me a “Desert Eagle .50AE Gas Blowback Gun”, and he also gave me a few cans of gas for the gun. I know of to fill the gun with gas, but I don’t know when it’s full. Can anybody that knows about Air Soft Guns/ Gas guns how to know when it’s full?
Thanks!
Take the guns magazine out, and turn it upside down. Place the end of the gas canister in the valve at the bottom, and listen to the gas enter the mag. When you stop hearing the small “shhhhh” sound of the gas, it is full.

Has anyone ever used a picnic set and would you recommend getting one?
I am looking into buying a picnic set so I can use it for car camping. I am trying to decide if it is worth it or should I just pack a bunch of my own and put it in a sack. I like the idea of having a carrier, of keeping all the cutlery and stuff in one place, and I like having all that set aside just for camping.
Anyone have any thoughts?
Looks nice at Henley with a straw boater….Luton Boater I should say….and a nice tartan or gingham cloth on the ground.
Otherwise just pack you own stuff. It’s a lot more convenient, a lot cheaper, and you pack what you want instead of taking everything with you every time.
There’s good kit around for outdoor eating. Far removed from the days of enamel mugs and plates, and good enough to use at home.
Lovely stuff around now.
Nice designs and lots of choice, so just get what you need or want.
I’ve been camping, walking and cycling, most of my life but for visiting my family we go on differently.
Luxury stuff. In a car….hehe.
We do a lot of long car trips all over UK, and to be quite honest a decent cardboard box or a couple of carrier bags does a better job than a wicker basket. You can use large sandwich bags or white bin liners for wrapping and keeping things seperate, and take a square or oblong bowl for washing up even and put the box in it. We do.
And you can chuck the boxes and bags if they get spoiled or worn.
More free ones available anytime.
Have a good time.
Eating al fresco is OK…well Al didn’t think so till we told him what it meant…
….have fun.

I have an 03 Jeep Sport and have crushed the number plate holder?
Where can i get a new one or somthing to replace it, as i cannot find one anywhere . . . .
You can buy a brand new one from any Jeep dealership.
Here is a link to buy one from a Jeep parts reseller online. It’s only $25 + shipping. I’ve bought stuff from Jeeps Are Us before, and had very good results from them.
